Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase on Maa. This policy explains when and how you can request a refund.

1. Recipe Purchases (One-Time)

Eligibility Window

Refund requests for individual recipe purchases must be submitted within 48 hours of the original purchase date.

Eligible Reasons

  • Recipe content significantly differs from the description or preview steps shown
  • Missing steps, incomplete instructions, or broken media (images not loading)
  • Duplicate purchase (same recipe charged twice due to a technical error)
  • Recipe was found to violate our content policies (plagiarism, factual errors in safety-critical instructions)

Ineligible Reasons

  • Change of mind after viewing the full recipe
  • Recipe was too difficult, too spicy, or did not suit personal taste
  • Ingredient availability issues
  • Requests submitted after the 48-hour window

How to Request

Submit a refund request from your Library → tap on the recipe → "Request Refund". Our team reviews all requests within 24 hours (business days). If approved, the refund is processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

2. Subscriptions

Monthly Subscriptions

  • You may cancel anytime from Account → Subscription. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds for the current billing period are available within 7 days of renewal if you have not accessed any subscriber-only recipes during that period.
  • Partial-month refunds are not available.

Annual Subscriptions

  • A full refund is available within 14 days of initial purchase if fewer than 3 subscriber-only recipes have been accessed.
  • After 14 days or if more than 3 recipes have been accessed, no refund is available for the annual amount. You may cancel to prevent renewal.
  • Renewal refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of renewal under the same conditions as monthly.

4. Disputed Transactions

If you notice an unauthorised charge on your account, contact us immediately at refunds@maarecipes.in. We will investigate and work with Razorpay to resolve any fraudulent transactions. We recommend also contacting your bank/card issuer for additional protection.

5. Contributor Revenue on Refunds

When a refund is approved, the contributor's earnings for that transaction are reversed from their pending payout balance. Contributors are notified via email when a refund impacts their earnings.
