Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Maa platform ("Maa", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform. These terms are governed by the laws of India.

2. Platform Description

Maa is a recipe marketplace Progressive Web App (PWA) that connects Contributors (home cooks, chefs, food creators) with Consumers (home cooks, food enthusiasts). Contributors list original recipes for purchase or subscriber access; Consumers purchase or subscribe to access full recipe content.

3. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make purchases.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You may not use another person's account without explicit permission.
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Contributor Terms

  • Contributors must submit original recipes they own the rights to. Plagiarism or copyright infringement will result in immediate account termination.
  • All recipes go through a moderation queue with a 24-hour SLA before being published.
  • Contributors earn 80% of net revenue from recipe sales after platform commission and applicable taxes.
  • Payouts are processed weekly via NEFT/UPI to the registered bank account.
  • Maa reserves the right to reject recipes that do not meet quality standards, contain harmful content, or violate our community guidelines.

5. Consumer Terms

  • Purchased recipes are licensed for personal use only — you may not share, distribute, resell, or reproduce recipe content.
  • Subscription access grants personal, non-transferable access to subscriber-only recipes for the duration of your active subscription.
  • Recipe content is protected by copyright and technical measures. Circumventing content protection is prohibited.

6. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes.
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay. By making a payment, you also agree to Razorpay's Terms of Service.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings.
  • GST at 18% is applicable on platform services as per Indian tax law.

7. Refunds & Disputes

Please refer to our Refund Policy for details on refund eligibility, timelines, and the dispute process.

8. Intellectual Property

The Maa platform, logo, UI, and technology are owned by Maa Recipes Pvt. Ltd. Recipe content belongs to the respective Contributors. Users may not scrape, clone, or reproduce platform content without written permission.

9. Content Protection

We employ technical measures to protect paid content including watermarking, encrypted delivery, and access controls. Attempting to circumvent these measures is a violation of these terms and applicable law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maa is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

11. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Gurugram, Haryana, India.
